Veterans Day takes 2021 place on November 12 this year. It’s a day to honor our veterans, both those who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces. Veterans invest their time into securing the safety of the many. In turn, they risk their wellbeing as they face arduous conditions throughout the world. While not all veterans experience mental illness, many do in the form of depression, anxiety, or trauma. Family members and their loved ones from the arm forces experience these changes in wellbeing together. For these reasons, and many more, here are some ways you can support members of the armed forces as we recognize Veterans Day.

Donate to charities that support veterans. Some veteran friendly mental health charities include:

Wounded Warriors Charity

Homes for our Troops

National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Headstrong

Grace after Fire
